=== INCIDENT SUMMARY ===
A RED FLAG WARNING was issued on Sunday night, July 31st around 2000 hours (8pm) PT to go into effect Monday through August 2nd, until 2100 hours (9pm). It was issued due to expected gusting winds up to 35 mph low RH in the 12-20% range, which are prime for fire conditions to arise from anything that may cause a spark.
Unfortunately, such an event has occurred – this time in the Vantage area, which seems to see fire incidents a few times each year.

Resources and equipment were dispatched to the scene.
KITTITAS COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT 1 – Support 111, Brush 112, and Tender 121 were dispatched.
KITTITAS COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DIST #6.
KITTITAS COUNTY FIRE & RESCUE VOLUNTEER – KC FIRE DISTRICT #7.
KITTITAS VALLEY FIRE & RESCUE.
WA DNR – WildCAD is showing DIV-802 E-4202 E-4203 E-4206 E-4207 H-1MR H-341 KIT-25 KIT-27 as current resources assigned to this incident.
Resources were dispatched at 1205 hours PT to the Vantage Highway at Mile Post 18. Incident Commander is Brad Wallace as of 1330 hours.

==== CURRENT FIRE STATUS ====
Fire resources and Law Enforcement will remain on this wildfire incident overnight. The Sheriff’s Office (about 1730 hours) did not have an estimated of acreage, but according to WA DNR’s CAD system (wildCAD), they are stating there have been 5,000 acres of grass and brush destroyed.
State Fire Mobe has been approved and additional reources will soon be pouring into the area. PLEASE AVOID AREA and/or WATCH FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION EQUIPMENT IN THE AREA.
