According to the USFS for the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, there are six fires burning in the Cle Elum Ranger District.

Most of the fires in this area are less than one acre in size, except for the THORP MOUNTAIN FIRE which is the largest of all of them.

THORP MOUNTAIN FIRE

This fire is located about two miles of Thorp Mountain approximately 11-13 miles from Cle Elum, Washington State.

A pending Forest Closure for the Thorp Mountain rec area is in effect due to the close proximity of the fires and to keep both firefighters and the general public safe.

This fire is currently four acres in size. Helicopters are assigned to this incident and will continue dropping water over the fireline.
