The NICOLAI REPEATER FIRE burned approximately two acres near the Nicolai Repeater in the Northwest Oregon Department of Forestry area on Saturday, August 13, 2022.
The cause of the fire was unknown and under investigation.
The landowner where the site is located and actively engaged in fire suppression efforts. There was no threat to the Repeater site itself.
The fire was located in/adjacent to the footprint of a two-to-three-year-old State Forest thinning operation.
As of yesterday, the fire was 100% lined and plumbed with a 75% mop-up by the end of the day.
