MT | GREAT FALLS FIRE RESCUE’s E2 / A shift were the first due engine on a 2nd alarm garage fire last night. The location of the fire was unknown, as well as the cause.

WA | CITY OF SPOKANE FIRE DEPARTMENT firefighters responded to a residential structure fire on Tuesday in the Lidgerwood community.

\Upon arrival on the scene, members made an aggressive interior attack and were able to quickly egress the fire. It was extinguished within 20 minutes.

CA | REDDING FIRE DEPARTMENT firefighters responded to a 1st alarm residential structure fire on the afternoon of Tuesday off of Corona Street in East Redding.

Firefighters tried tirelessly to save a dog that had been trapped inside the home. There was no one home at the time the accidental fire broke out.

WA | SOUTH KITSAP FIRE AND RESCUE firefighters responded to a working commercial structure fire in the early morning hours in the 13900 block of Crescent Valley Road SE in Olalla, Washington. The fire was elevated to a second alarm during the incident.

This was the Olalla Bay Market and Landing, a favorite gathering place since 1884, and the building, a former post office was in the midst of being remodeled. The business and community have an interesting story. To learn more, visit their website here –> https://www.olallabaymarket.com/

Mutual aid responded from Bremerton Fire Department, Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue and the Navy Regional Northwest Fire & Emergency Services.

CA | GRASS VALLEY/NEVADA CITY FIRE DEPARTMENTS responded to an approximate 20×20 spot fire on Tues in the area of Brunswick and Plaza Drive. Fire units responded and were able to quickly egress on the fire, putting it out right after arrival.

There were no injuries or damage to nearby structures. The cause is unknown at this time.

WA | GRANT COUNTY FIRE DISTRICTS and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a malfunction in the conveyor belt system which caused a fire in the mill at the El Oro Cattle Canyon Company located north of Warden, Washington.

This occurred at 1530 hours on Tuesday. Both Grant County Fire Districts #4 and 5 responded to the scene. There were no injuries reported to civilians or firefighters.

WA | EAST PIERCE FIRE & RESCUE will be breaking ground on their newest fire station #111, which will be their new headquarters.

WA | SPOKANE VALLEY FIRE DEPARTMENT Levy Lid Lift passes for the Spokane Valley area, and they wish to thank their voters for making this possible. This will enable them to continue with current services and more.

The Fire Agency has had over 2,000 calls in the month of July, alone and over 13,000 year-to-date. This is definitely a very busy fire agency.

WA | ENUMCLAW FIRE DEPARTMENT is hosting their last scheduled Heartsaver CPR/AED/1st Aid Class of the year. To register, go to their website at https://enumclawfire.org/classes/.

WA | YAKIMA FIRE DEPARTMENT members have been responding to multiple arson dumpster fires. Tuesday night, they had five and the previous evening they had a total of nine fires. The City released to area media, that they are having difficulties investigating these fires due to losing one of their Fire Investigators. On August 14, 2022, there were 10 fires lit between 2200 hours to 0400 hours. These fires nearly caught homes on fire but firefighters were quick to egress them and prevent them from extending further into nearby structures.

WA | BREMERTON FIRE DEPARTMENT’S 1st Battalion was called out on Tuesday night to assist with the extrication call for a person who was entrapped inside a 30′ deep ventilation vault.

Ladder 28 rigged a low-angle system to allow one of their own firefighters down into the vault to harness the subject and then back up to the surface. He was then treated and transported to a nearby local hospital for an eval.

CA | SANTA CLARA FIRE DEPARTMENT will be hosting The NorCal First Alarm Girls Fire Camp for those who are in grades 9-12 to be held at Oakland Fire’s Training Center on September 17-18, 2022. This is a free 2-day camp led by female firefighters. Registration opened on August 15th and is on a first-come, first serve basis. The max class size is 50 participants. WA | SEATTLE FIRE DEPARTMENT graduates a large number of new firefighters from the Training Academy who will go on to their new assigned stations and to break all barriers in their fire service careers.

CA | CAL FIRE CZU says with multiple lightning strikes in the area, CAL FIRE CZU has enacted its Lightning Plan. Though there are NO CONFIRMED FIRES from any lightning strikes at this time, we send an engine to the location of each strike to put eyes on the area and make sure there is no fire.

WA | EAST WENATCHEE was mostly evacuated on Tuesday after a gas line was damaged on Valley Mall Parkway. Douglas County Fire District 2 and Chelan County Fire District 1 responded to the area, where the public was warned to stay away from 3rd Street Northeast to 9th Street from Sunset Highway to Eastmont Avenue. The County’s Office of Emergency Management stated the damage occurred in the area of Standerfer Street and Valley Mall Parkway.

NM | SUNLAND PARK FIRE DEPARTMENT was represented at the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Truman Fire Forum being held in Independence, Missouri on Tuesday evening. The Forum focuses on Fire and Life Safety improvement initiatives.
