Their mission is simple: provide better protection to their communities during RED FLAG WARNINGS, when they are in effect. They staff up as a group fire resource until 2000 hours (8pm) when the warnings are in effect.

The unit is made up of firefighters and Chief Officers. Additionally, there are brush trucks and water tenders which will also respond.

They will respond when a large wildland fire or if a fire, like a car fire, spreads into an urban interface may occur, deploying as a single elite and an immediate fire response.
