Incident Summary: The Mosquito Fire is located 22 miles south of Emigrant Gap in the State of California, which ignited on September 6, 2022, around 1800 hours PT.

Size Up: 76,290 acres. 49% contained.
Unified Command: CAL FIRE NEU, Tahoe National Forest, Placer County Sheriff’s Office, El Dorado County Sheriff, El Dorado National Forest, and the Foresthill Fire Protection District.
Resources: 65 dozers, 80 water tenders, 2,437 total personnel along with 32 crews.
Damage Assessment: 13 structures were damaged and 78 were destroyed.
CTD: $88.3 Million Dollars

Evacuation Shelters – El Dorado County
Cameron Park Services District, 2502 Country Club Drive, Cameron Park, CA 9582. Services available: Overnight shelter, meals, showers, limited health services, and parking for trailers will be provided. Animals in crates and carriers will be accepted.
Green Valley Community Center, 3500 Missouri Flat Road, Placerville, CA. RV parking is limited and no hookups. Small domestic animals in craters or on leashes are allowed (no large animals or birds)
