0945 PT: The management of this fire was transferred from the EA Silver Team, an Type 2 IMT to the local unit.

The fire is located about 15 miles east of Oakridge, Oregon. There have been about 127,283 acres of timber and closed timber litter that has been consumed.

Minimal fire behavior has been observed and fire officials can safely say there is a 60% containment status reached.

About 159 total personnel remain engaged on the fire line, a drop of 63 the day before. One crew and two engines are assigned to the incident.

CTD: $133.9 Million.

1530 PT: The CEDAR CREEK FIRE is one of twenty wildfires we are tracking and providing sitreps on and we appreciate you reading our post!

The CEDAR CREEK FIRE was caused by lightning and ignited on August 1, 2022, about 15 miles east of Oakridge and approximately is located three miles west of Aldo Lake in the State of Oregon.

At this time, 123,861 acres have been consumed but there is a 40% containment status has been reached.

Fire behavior remains moderate.

There is 677 total personnel along with thirteen crews, twenty engines, and seven helicopters under the Incident Commanders Jeff Dimke and Bobby Shindelar, both ICT2 with the NW Team 12.

Fire Operations include the following activities:

West Branch:

Div. A/Y: Keep fire south of 19 Rd and east of 2409 Rd. Conduct suppression repair on the 750 and 1944 roads. Secure fire edge on the 19 and 1938 roads. Monitor, patrol, and mop up both direct and indirect primary lines.

Div. P/R: Patrol the 4290 roads. Complete suppression repair on the 640 and 4668 roads to specifications identified by the local unit.

Div. S: Patrol the 5883 road east of DP88 to DP105. Continue to hold and secure control lines on spot fires.

Div. T: Patrol the 5883 roads from Hwy 58 west to DP88. Hold and secure control lines on spot fires.

Div. X: Hold and secure the control line along 5871 Rd.

Div. W: Patrol and secure the 352 and 353 roads.

CTD: $125 Million.
