A recall was issued on November 23, 2022, by Green Sprouts for approximately six and eight-ounce 10,500 units of their Stainless Steel Straw Bottles, Sippy Cups, and Sip & Straw Cups.
The recall was put into place due to the bottles and cups’ bottom bases can break off, exposing a solder dot that contains lead.
This can pose a lead poisoning hazard to the child who may consume it.
Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
The remedy per the manufacturer is to have the item(s) refunded.
