INCIDENT SUMMARY: The Donnie Creek Complex (G80280) is burning about 136 km (or about 84.5 miles) southeast of Fort Nelson and 158 km (98.1 miles) north of Fort St. John. The wildfire was discovered on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 1658 hours PDT (also BC time zone).

CAUSE: Lightning

CURRENT STATUS: The fire is still being classified as an out-of-control wildfire. The fire has burned an estimated 465,955 ha (hectares) or approximately, 1,151,400 acres.

DISPATCH CENTER: Prince George Fire Centre

RESOURCES: There is 130 total personnel working on the complex overall, along with an IMT, 25 pieces of heavy equipment, and 12 helicopters.

FIRE OPERATIONS: Structure protection is in effect.
