SIT REP 1: JUNE 13, 2023, TUESDAY, 2100 HOURS PDT
Multiple wildfires are burning in Benton County, Washington State. A person of interest was being sought by local and area police agencies who may have been intentionally being set.
DEMOSS FIRE
Fire personnel and equipment were toned out for a natural cover fire on E Roberts Road and N Demoss Road, which include E2011 and Dozer 11 at 2005 PDT.
RED MOUNTAIN FIRE
Units have been dispatched for a brush fire, formerly as a smoke check call: S-263, S-260, H-1MR. A fire is burning across the face of the Mountain. Evacuation orders are being conducted by law enforcement.
YAKITAT FIRE – HANSEN ROAD FIRE – HANSEN FIRE
This fire is located off Hansen Road in Benton County.
WA DNR resources and equipment have been dispatched to the area around 1509 hours PDT, which includes the following: H-339, AA-1TB, E-332, S-263, AHTANUM, E-4305, S-260, E-4206, H-1MR, CREW-6201, DIV-6101, BATT-6101.
The fire has already burned approximately 7,000 acres. There is a 0% containment status. It currently is being reported the fire behavior is extreme with a high rate of spread.
Level 3 Evacuation Orders for Kiona: Area inside Benton City
Level 2 Evacuations Orders for Hwy 224: Fire and Law Enforcement are in the process of discussing Level 2 evacuation orders for those on Hwy 224. This is due to the fire moving towards the Highway. (1950 PDT)

MEALS ROAD FIRE – HOVER FIRE
A wildfire is burning south of Meals Road/Hover Road near Hover Park in Benton County, Washington. State resources were dispatched at 1646 hours PDT. The fire is approximately 600-PLUS acres. Resources: Benton County Fire District #1.

HAMILTON SMOKE CHECK
Law enforcement has noticed a possible new fire start north of Gold Road, west of Hamilton. (2043 PT) Aircraft has been seen flying over the area and heading for a possible new start.
