A brush fire is burning on Badger Mountain Road in East Wenatchee (Douglas), Washington which was reported around 1500 PT this afternoon.

The Lead Agency is Douglas County Sheriff’s Office but the Chelan County Emergency Management Agency is also releasing pressers.

As of 1918 PT, wildcad.net was showing resources were dispatched this afternoon at 1600 hours and the fire has burned about 600 acres with an unknown containment status.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, there have been Level 1 (GET READY) notifications issued for the following areas:

  • U.75 SW where meets with Badger Mtn, Roads 9, 10, 9.5, and S Roads SW Badger Mtn Rd
  • Clark Rd
  • Bromiley Rd

Closed:

  • Canyon Hills
  • MP13

Aviation Assets:

  • SEATs

Restrictions:

  • Between Odabashian and George Sellar Bridge, due to aviation aircraft dipping out of the river
