SIT REP 1: July 22, 2023, 1300 PT
INCIDENT SUMMARY: A wildfire located 14 miles southwest of Camp Alma and Veneta, Oregon ignited on July 18, 2023, which was a human-caused fire.
It was discovered at 1748 hours PT.

FIRE BEHAVIOR: The fire behavior is listed as active with uphill runs and spotting.
SIZE UP: About 110 acres have been scorched. Fire crews have been able to reach a 15% containment status today.
FIRE MANAGEMENT: The fire is under the management of a Type 3 ICT.
RESOURCES: Some of the resources listed for this incident include the OR Department of Forestry, USFS, City of Creswell copter, Candair CL-415 Scooper plane, and the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

Safety Notice 07/19/2023: Fern Ridge Reservoir,
“The Lane County Sheriff’s Office would like to advise the public that fire-fighting aircraft will be scooping water from Fern Ridge Reservoir starting this afternoon in relation to the Haight Creek Fire near Alma.
Those recreating on the reservoir are asked to use extreme caution and consider recreating at a different location until further notice.”
