A wildfire broke out last night about 12 miles east on the Suiattle River Road near Darrington (Snohomish County) on the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State, where USFS personnel responded at 1930 hours off the Suiattle River Road along with mutual aid from Darrington FD24 and WA DNR.

Evacuations: A Level 1 evacuation notice (Get Ready) has been made for a few residences in Skagit County near Mile Marker 10 on the Suiattle River Road. For additional information regarding evacuation notifications, residents may contact the Skagit County non-emergency line at 360-428-3211. No evacuations in Snohomish County are in effect.

The exact cause is unknown but Officials speculate it is human-caused, which is under investigation.

The fire has burned 100 acres of timber, brush, and grass. There is a 0% containment status.

Current fire resources include one engine, one Type 2 crew, one Type 2 dozer, and various overhead.

Resources on order: Four engines, two Type 1 helicopters, and one water tender as of 1322 hours press release.
