GRAHAM, WASHINGTON — Some may feel a little different than us but we know, they are just as capable as men when they put all of their abundance of energy, and tireless efforts, supported by one another (both male and female), encouraged to succeed and reach for the stars by leadership will they find the same as their counterparts.

We want to spotlight that certain someone in this great Fire Agency in Pierce County, Wash-ington State.
Graham Fire & Rescue seems to have it right, in promoting those who are successful regardless if they are a male or a female. In this case, they have promoted Sarah Swart who was promoted to Captain on November 1st of this year then the following month, she proved her value as a great asset to her agency and escalated to a higher level as acting Battalion Chief.
She says to those who are looking for advice to “have the courage to dream big and be fearless in the pursuit of your dream.” Those are some great encouraging words and we couldn’t agree more!
We love quotes and love those in the fire service.
“Firefighters are some of the most selfless public servants you will ever encounter.” – Denis Leary
Congratulations, Capt. Swart!
