LAKE HAVASU, Arizona

Incident Summary

A very large brush fire is burning on Body Beach in Lake Havasu, Arizona that started on Sunday, March 31, 2019.  It been reportedly that it has already scorched 60 acres of land and the Lake Havasu Mayor expects it to burn closer to 100 acres by the time the fire is fully contained.

BEAVER CREEK FIRE

Owner mitigation + fire fighter hard work = success

Routt NF.  24 miles N of Walden, Colorado 

  • Start – 6/19/2016 @ 1645 hours
  • Unknown cause
  • Timber & brush
  • Active fire behavior with torching, short crown-runs and spotting
  • Fire grew Thursday due to increased gusty winds
  • Containment lines tests but held during wind storms
  • 37,647 acres
  • 62% containment status
  • 187 personnel assigned
  • Transfer of command from NIMO (Hahnenberg) to NIMO (Houseman) occurred today.
