Bellevue, Washington – At approximately 1520 hours, a seven-year old girl saw smoke billowing out fr0m a neighbor’s house in the Tam O’Shanter resident community in Bellevue prompting her dad to call 9-1-1, sending crews scrambling from all over the City.

Fire crews from Station #1’s Downtown/West Bellevue; 2’s from the Eastgate area; 3’s Crossroads/NE Bellevue; 5’s form NE Bellevue and 6’s from the Bridle Trails Wilburton area arrived approximately six minutes on scene.  Medic 1 headquartered out of Overlake Hospital Medical Center and  Aid Units #2, 3 and #12 (Redmond Fire) also were in attendance.  Battalion Chiefs 1 and 11

First arriving crews reported smoke showing from two sides of the residential structure in the 1400 block of 176th Avenue NE and quickly egressed by launching  an aggressive interior attack through the home’s front door. The fire was rapidly brought under control and no significant injuries were reported. 

Six of the home’s residents were displaced and no information was listed if the American Red Cross was helping or if they were staying with friends or family members.  The cause is currently under investigation.  Damage was estimated at $100,000.00.
