Have you ever had that one call that was stuck in your head and wish you could share with another so they could understand what you really do as a firefighter or what it takes to work in the EMS field?
Seattle Mourn, a short story based upon the true story of the Pang Warehouse arson fire in 1995, causing the deaths of four Seattle Firefighters was written in their honor and for all firefighters. This story was submitted to a writing contest in hopes of having it published in a book titled, Felons, Flames and Ambulances. Other Police, Fire and EMS related stories fill the book written by well renown published authors that specialize in these fields and members of the Public Safety Writers Association.
In light of beginning a new tradition, we are now in the process of working on our “own” project book titled, The Firefighter Chronicles I. This is a compilation of both fiction and non-fiction stories About Firefighters, For Firefighters and the People Who Love Them by EMS Blogger and Crime Fiction writer, Lisa Swenson.
The Firefighter Chronicles II, will be about “your” stories in this series. We are hosting a short story contest from our fans about anything related to firefighting and EMS. Short stories must be no longer than 1500 words and must be your “own” story.
