Firefighter Broz passed away from injuries sustained when his personally owned vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree while he was responding to an outdoor fire in the Francis Beidler Forest. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Broz was reported to have been wearing seat restraints at the time of the accident.
