A rope rescue call was dispatched at 2128 hours by Seattle Fire sending crews to the scene of the 4300 block and 35th Avenue West in Magnolia, where a man had fallen down a 30-plus foot steep slope behind a building. It was reported the man was unable to free himself and was stuck in that location for approximately a hour.
Firefighters quickly performed a technical high angle rope rescue down the slippery embankment – packaging the male patient in a litter and extricating him from the scene to an awaiting ambulance. He was taken to HMC with non-life threatening injuries.
