  • SE side of MT Shasta
  • Mud Creek Canyon
  • Mud crossed over Pilgrim Creek Rd

9/20/14 – Saturday

  • Flood
  • Debris flow into Mud Creek Canyon
  • 1500 hours – mud slide occurred
  • Monitored by USFS personnel
  • Flow continued until 1800 hours

9/21/14 – Sunday

  • 0800 hours – flows receding

CLOSURES

  • Pilgrim Creek Rd
  • FS Rd 311

ROAD RESTRICTIONS

  • Hwy 89 open
  • Highway may be impacted

WEATHER FORECAST

  • Expecting more rain
  • May cause more slides in area

REMINDERS

  • Residents, Visitors are being discouraged from visiting the area
  • Do Not Attempt to Drive through Flood Impacted waters and mud
