Cherokee County, Oklahoma | A wildfire scortched 230 acres on forest land from a human-caused fire on April 4, 2015, around 1600 hours. It has since been 100% contained.
The area located two miles South of Hulbert, Oklahoma had six fire personnel on scene.
Steep and rough terrain caused a delay in getting the fire quickly contained but firefighters were able to eventually snuff out the hardwood litter before it got much bigger than it could have.
No injuries were reported.
No evacuations or road closures at this time.
