Genesse Valley CA | The Ward Fire is now at a 100% containment status of today’s date. The burning fire originally was on private land on Monday, April 13, 2015, moving on to national forest land growing as a result of a brisk winds.
Located 10 air-miles SE of Taylorsville CA in the Genessee Valley, the fire grew to 137 burned acres.

There were no injuries reported or structures involved.
A Type 4 IMT will transition over later this weekend.

The cause is unknown and is under investigation.
