HISTORY

Christian Festival

The History of this Special Holiday clearly shows it has been in existence since the early times when in modern times, a Christian festival called “Mothering Sunday” was held annually on the 4th Sunday in Lent.  These festivals were seen as a time when the faithful would return to their “Mother Church”, a local church close to their homes. “I hope and pray that someone, sometime, will found a memorial mothers day commemorating her for the matchless service she renders to humanity in every field of life.  She is entitled to it.”
