MAGGIE FIRE
PHOENIX DISTRICT, ARIZONA

Incident Summary – A new fire has been reported in Arizona on the Bureau of Land Management on the Phoenix District, located 6 miles N of Black Canyon City and Maggie Mine Road area, West of I-17.
The fire started on June 18, 2017, from an unknown cause.
Fire Conditions – Fire fuels of tall grass and timber have been scorched leaving 1400 acres devastated. There is a 0% containment status. Fire behavior is moderate.
Personnel from the Daisy Mountain FD is assisting with other resources reports the forward progression has been stopped.
Fire Fuels – Fire fuels are grass and shrub.
Resources – There are 175 personnel from the U.S. Forest Service, Daisy Mountain Fire and Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (was assisting with evacuations).
Threats – Structures are currently under threat.
Evacuations – Evacuation orders have been lifted.
Cost-To-Date – Fire suppression and containment costs have reached $500,000 and are rising.
