Summary | A grass fire broke out around 1426 hours PDT on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, off of I-8 and Old Hwy 80 in the community of Lakeside (San Diego County), California.

Current Conditions | The fire has reached 400 acres with a 0% containment status.  The cause is being reported by media as stating a vehicle’s exhaust pipe into brush.

Forward rate of spread has been stopped by CAL Fire crews.

3 Firefighters have been injured.

Evacuations | Mandatory evacuations of View Side Lane and Alpine Lane are in effect for residents.
