Incident Summary | A wildfire ignited from an unknown cause on DNR lands on July 5, 2017, located along Highway 97 SE of Orondo (Douglas County) and 10 miles North of Wenatchee, Washington State. The fire originally started on private land from an
unknown ignition source and quickly grew into a very large, fast-moving wildfire.

Incident Cooperators include: Douglas Fire District #1 and #4, American Red Cross, Eastmont Jr High and the PUD.
Though fully contained, there are still 18 personnel assigned to this incident and 5 engines.
Size | 700 acres. 100% contained.
Current Conditions | Fire behavior is minimum. The fire originally started on DNR lands and is now burning on BLM and private lands. About 200 firefighters worked the fire on Thursday and Friday of last week.
Damage Assessments | No structures were destroyed. Cost-to-date is $750,000.
