CALGARY, Alb. – A 5 hectare (12 acres) wildfire is burning south of Bragg Creek in the south end of McLean Creek that broke out on Sunday, May 27th.
The fire is located in a cut block, defined as a specific area of land with defined boundaries as authorized for harvest. There has been a lot of a high level generated smoke due to the fire burning in heavy slash.
Fire behavior is active and has a 0% containment status is said to be not threatening any structures or communities.
Campers that are in this area are being asked by Fire Officials to avoid the fire area and the public to stay out of the area.
