WASHINGTON STATE | It was a busy day for fire resources on Saturday. Here is a recap of the fire activities that happened over the weekend.

APPLEWAY DISHMAN FIRE | 0133 hours
Located in the Dishman Hills Natural area in Spokane County. Crews were dispatched at 0133 hours PDT and arrived o/s quickly. They were able to contain and control the fire 0430 hours. Grass, brush and light timber were the fire fuels. Fire limited to 0.1 acre.

WILLIAMS FLATS FIRE | 0323 hours (by BIA)
This wildfire is located 5 miles SE of Keller on the Colville Indian Reservation.
Fire behavior is reported as extreme with wind-driven runs, short crown runs and short-range spotting. The cause has been determined to be sparked by lightning.
About 8,200 acres have been destroyed and a 0% containment status remains.

Fire Management is in Unified Command with Colville Agency and Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA).
NW Team 8 is the IMT which is in Command of this wildfire incident.
Resources include 2 Type 1 crews (Hot Shots), 2 20-person crews, 2 12-person crews, 3 Dozers, 12 Type 6 Engines, 5 Tenders, 1 Air Attack, 3 Fire Bosses, 3 Type 1 Tanker, 1 Type 1 Rotor and 1 Lead Plane. 132 personnel are the fire line.
No structures have been reported as damaged or lost but there is one structure and cultural resources that are being threatened.
The Cost-to-Date for fire suppression and costs have reached $150,000.
This is an active Incident.
Colville Tribal Natural Resource Police Officers are asking boaters to stay clear of firefighting efforts at the Lake Roosevelt Recreational area.

DEVORE CREEK FIRE | 1200 hours on 7-23-2019
The Devorce Creek Fire is a long burning wildfire which started on July 23, 2019, from a lightning strike. It is located about 3 air miles SW of Stehekin.

The fire has destroyed about 180 acres of heavy timber and appears to have a remaining 0% containment status.
There are 85 fire personnel assigned along with 2 crews and 3 helicopters. The lead Fire Agency is the USDA Forest Service.
On July 28th, there were approximately 45 personnel on-scene and the cost-to-date had been raised to $200,000 for cost-to-date expenses for firefighting suppression and containment costs. It was stated by USFS on containment completion as no estimate known at this time.
The fire is still burning but Fire Managers report that the fire behavior is minimal with creeping, smoldering and single-tree torching.
Today, the fire has reached a total of $346,000 cost-to-date.

LEFT HAND FIRE | 1200 on 7-23-2019
The Left Hand Fire is burning about 17 miles NW of Naches in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest that was one of many wildfires ignited by lightning on July 23, 2019.
The fire has destroyed 3,459 acres of timber and crews have successfully reached a 70% containment status. It is still burning but now has a minimal fire behavior that is both creeping and smoldering.
There is currently 598 total fire personnel attached to this incident along with 15 crews, 8 helicopters and 23 engines.
There are still 197 homes and 50 other structures under direct threat. Evacuation levels have been reduced to a Level 1/Get Ready order along SR 410.
Suppression and containment costs-to-date have reach an all-time high of $7.4 Million Dollars.

HIGH TENSION FIRE | 1233 hours
The High Tension Fire was located on Highway 24 in Benton County. Fire crews were dispatched through the CWC Dispatch Center at 1233 hours. Fire fuels included grass and brush. The fire was contained to 5 acres at 1815 hours.

CAP SANTE FIRE | 1344 hours
The Cap Sante Fire was located at the CAP Sante Lookout in Anacortes (Skagit County) which prompted resources to be dispatched at 1344 hours via the Northwest Dispatch Center. The IC assigned was Schmitz along with additional unknown resources. The fire was limited to 0.25 acres of grass and brush being destroyed. The fire is now in patrol status as of 2000 hours.

BREA BURN FIRE | 1604 hours
The fire was located on Brea Burn Road in Chelan County. Crews would be dispatched from the Central Washington Communications Center at 1604 hours which included IC Inglking, BATT-71, E 672 and SE 139. Fire was brought under control and contained at 1733 hours. It was limited to 0.1 acre of brush scorched.

HUCKLEBERRY MOUNTAIN FIRE | 1754 hours
Located in Pend Oreille County. Big Meadow Lake. Dispatched at 1754 hours PDT. Brush, light timber and duff were fire fuels. E31 was IC. 0.1 acre. Fire has been contained and is in patrol status.
