SIT REP 1 – March 3, 2020
The GRIZZLY FIRE ignited on March 2, 2020 and is burning in the Grizzly Flat Rec Area near Butte Lake and just west of Orland (Glenn County), California.
It was reported yesterday, that there was limited access at the time for ground resources but the fire was being held by roads.
About 154 acres have been destroyed but wildland firefighters from the CAL FIRE Tehama-Glenn Units have reached a 50% containment status.
Due to thick brush, firefighters will remain on-scene for the next two days for heavy mop-up operations.
No evuacations in effect due to very rural and mostly vegetation burning.
No word on the cause is known at the time of this post.
No reports of civilians or firefighters have been reported injured.
