SUMMARY — The S-503 FIRE is located on the north end of the Warm Springs Reservation about three miles east of Highway 26; two miles north of Quartz Butte and 10 miles north of Simnasho, Oregon. The cause is unknown and under investigation.
STARTED — The fire started on Friday, June 18th around 1800 hours PT.
SIZE UP — It is currently grown to 4,300 acres.
LEVEL 3 EVACUATIONS ARE IN EFFECT:
- Pine Grove
- along Forman’s Point
LEVEL 2 EVACUATIONS ARE IN EFFECT:
- Back Walters Rd near Pine Grove
RESOURCES — CTWS Fire Management (Lead Agency). 150 firefighters assigned along with dozers, engines, water tenders; One AA with three planes and two copters.
