USFS – BEAVERHEAD-DEERLODGE NF | UPDATE 1 | JULY 11, 2021

A Wildfire named the TRAIL CREEK FIRE was parked by lightning, which is near another fire name the ALDER CREEK FIRE.

This incident is located about 20 miles west of Wisdom and north of Hwy 43 near Shoofly Creek in Montana.

Fire behavior is active with torching and spotting.

Structures threatened.

Area/road/trail closures are in effect.

Fire has burned 904 acres and there is no containment status at this time.

About 29 total personnel with four engines, one Type 2 IA crew, two helicopters and additional Type 3 support personnel.

Total cost-to-date is about $5,000.

Cause is due to lightning.
