Incident Summary

The LYLE HILL FIRE started on July 12, 2021, at approximately 1928 hours PT from an unknown cause is located less than a mile from the town of Lyle (Klickitat County), Washington.

Current Status

301 acres of tall grass, timber, dormant brush and hardwood slash burned. 10% contained.

Fire behavior is active, running, backing with single-tree torching.

Resources

State Mobilization was approved on July 13, 2021 at 0530 hours through the WSP Fire Marshal’s Office.

Incident Cooperators include the Klickitat County Fire District #4, WSOEM (Camp Murray), WSP, WA DNR (SE Region).

Fire management is under the SE Type 3 IMT’s IC Leonard Johnson, which assumed command at 1000 hours on July 13, 2021.

Currently, there are 111 total personnel assigned.

Threatened

Power substation and several primary residential structures.

Restrictions

TFR for a seven-mile radius around the fire. This is a mandatory Drone-free zone.
