Friday Update – August 27, 2021
The SCHNEIDER SPRINGS FIRE is burning about 20 miles northwest of Naches, Washington on Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest lands.

There has been 75,055 acres of timber that has been destroyed. Fire crews have been able to increase the containment from three-to-eight percent. Fire behavior is active, flanking, backing and isolate torching.
The incident is under the direction of PNW2, a Type 1 IMT’s IC R. Allen.
The lightning-caused fire started on August 4, 2021 and has quickly spread over thousands of acres of land, threatening structures and forcing mandatory evacuations.
To assist with fire suppression and containment, there are 670 total personnel along with 13 crews, 50 engines and six aircraft.

- US12 at Hwy 410 west to Tieton Reservoir Road
Current Restrictions include no flying of drones in the fire zone(s).
