WASHINGTON – New PIO/Public Educator Erin Gowenlock joined the Bothell Fire Department today. She comes from working formerly as the City of Dupont Communications and Tourism Coordinator from 2017-2021.

““I am thrilled to be a part of the team and looking forward to ramping up outreach and educational opportunities. My overarching goal is to ensure that Bothell Fire has a strong presence in the community and that we continue to make it a safe place to live, work, and play,” Erin says.
Erin was also PIO on the well-known and infamous Amtrak train derailment incident for the City of Dupont and heavily rooted in planning community events.
Both citizens and the Fire Department are lucky to have such an experienced, talented and compassionate PIO and Public Educator.

Firefighter Shane Poston, has been working as Interim Deputy Fire Marshal since April and was just promoted to Deputy Fire Marshal (officially) this month! He has been with the Bothell Fire Department for 25 years and has been an asset to the department.

About The Bothell Fire Department
The City of Bothell Fire Department is located off of I405 in beautiful Snohomish County, Washington State. The organization is led by Fire Chief Bruce Kroon (who was formerly with Bellevue Fire back in the day). Bothell Fire Department has 55 firefighters, 12 administrative staff, five fire engines, one ladder truck, four aid cars, and one brush truck.
The city of Bothell and the Snohomish County Fire District 10 has had a long-standing contract/partnership to provide fire and EMS to residents in the District 10 area. SCFD10 owns and maintains the Queensborough Fire Station located at 330 – 228th Street Southwest. Additionally, they also own two fire engines, three aid units, and other types of tools.
There is a total of three Fire Stations: Staton 42, which is also their HQ located at 10726 Beardslee Boulevard, Fire Station 45 (Queensborough Station), and Station 45 located in Canyon at 1608 -217th Place SE.
