Incident Summary — A wildfire named the HILL FIRE is burning in the Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge. Fire resources were dispatched via the Modoc Interagency Communication Center on Saturday around 1237 hours PT for a Smoke Check.

Current Status — This is considered a prescribed fire and is burning within its containment lines. No further updates have been released by Fire Officials as they are not treating this as an out-of-control wildfire but as a prescribed fire.

Size Up — Currently, the controlled fire has burned 600 acres of grass.
