Update 1 – March 31, 2022, Thursday
The RAMSEY FIRE is located west of the Town of Blanket (Brown County), Texas, on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at around 1300 CDT sparked by arcing power lines from high winds.
At this time, there are still 45 total personnel assigned.
About 3,456 acres of heavy brush and grass have been destroyed. There is a 90% containment status reached. Today, the fire behavior is moderate due to some rainfall over the fire line.
Voluntary evacuations in the Town of May but no structures were reported as lost.
Texas A&M Forest Service was in Unified Command with local fire agencies but is no longer.
