Update 2 – March 31, 2022, Thursday

The Crittenberg Complex is made up of several wildfires located on and off Fort Hood’s military base in Texas. On March 27th, the County requested assistance from the State fire agency.

A total of 33,175 acres of tall grass and brush have been lost collectively for both wildfires.

The On Post Fire is 85% contained and the Off Post Fire is 95% contained.

The incident has been turned back over to local fire resources from the Texas A&M Forest Service. They were in Unified Command with Fort Hood.

During the fire incident, 200 homes south of the City of Flat were evacuated on the afternoon of March 27 but were re-populated that same night.

There are still 20 total personnel on the scene.
