The KOCACHO FIRE is burning in the Upper Yukon Zone on BLM lands on Native Corporation lands, 18 miles west of Venetie, Alaska.

This large wildfire is being managed with a strategy other than full suppression without a Type 1 or 2 IMT assigned.

There have been approximately 1,512 acres of timber and short grass burned. This fire has a zero containment status.

There is about eight total personnel assigned to this incident only.
