The CEASAR FIRE is burning on Highway 78 and Ramona Trails Drive, east of Ramona, California.

The fire started today at noon PT.

The Lead Fire Agency: CAL FIRE San Diego Unit.

The cause is unknown and under investigation.

About 50 acres have been burned. There is a 0% containment status at this time.

CLOSED: EB/WB SR-78 in both directions from Magnolia Avenue to Southerland Dam Road. Socials are reporting the highway will be closed until tomorrow. All traffic is being diverted through Old Julian Highway.

EVACUATION POINT: Olive Pierce Middle School. 1521 Hanson Lane, Ramona, CA.
