Update 2 – September 5, 2022, 1910 hours PT
The RADFORD FIRE is a 2-alarm wildfire burning on the San Bernardino National Forest lands.
The fire behavior has increased significantly and is being reported as active with spotting ahead of itself.
Reports of the fire burning about three miles south of Big Bear and less than two miles from the nearest structures.
The fire has currently destroyed 200 acres and there is still a 0% containment status.
Management of this fire is under Unified Command with San Bernardino National Forest, San Bernardino County Fire Department and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.
Evacuations are in effect:
Glass Road to South Fork River Road.
There is about 140 or more personnel assigned to this wildfire incident, says the San Bernardino National Forest Service.
Incident Cooperators include USFS – San Bernardino National Forest, SB County Fire, and Sheriff’s Office, and Yucaipa Police Department.
The current weather report as of 1920 hours PT are temps of 75*F, sunny skies with a precip of 0%, RH at 21%, and winds moving about six miles per hour.
