The BOULDER MTN FIRE is located nine miles NW of Cusick, in Tacoma Creek and Boulder Mountain, Washington State, which started on August 31, 2022.

The terrain is difficult, and the fire is burning in heavy timber, slash, and beetle-infested trees.

The cause is unknown and under investigation.

The management of the fire is under IC Mike Johnston, Great Basin Type 2 Incident Management Team #7.

Active fire behavior with group torching, short-range spotting, and flanking. There have been 2,076 acres burned but a 10% containment status has been reached.

Structures are threatened.

There is a total of 517 fire personnel.
