Firefighters from the Kennewick Fire Department and Benton County Fire District #1, were dispatched to the area between I-82 and Olympia on Highway 97, in Kennewick, Washington state just after 1030 hours this morning.

Multiple starts caused several areas of the brush to be burned.

There was no information on how large the fire area is, including acres consumed or the fire command/fire name but we have reached out to Kennewick’s Fire Chief Chad Michael to gain those pieces of information.

The Benton County FD1 PIO stated at the time of both postings on Twitter, there was an unknown cause of the fire.
