US2 – Snohomish PUD needs to do emergency work and traffic will be held 3 times up to 60 minutes each time in both directions at MP 28 (Gold Bar) so crews can set a pole. Flaggers will then alternate traffic through a single lane at MP 28 for the next 20-ish hours while crews work. (1517 PT)

Union County has been placed on a Level 3 Snow Emergency by the order of the County Sheriff, Jamie Patton.

State Troopers are on the scene of a 46-vehicle MVA located EB between SR 53 and SR 4, forcing the closure of the roadway in both directions. Multiple agencies from several counties are continuing heavy rescue operations. White-out conditions are occurring and Police recommend NO TRAVEL. All parties involved have been moved to a local facility by bus to stay warm, police say.
