A wildfire named the Storage Fire is burning about four miles south of Possum Kingdom Lake (Palo Pinto County) and nine miles west of Palo Pinto, Texas.

The fire was sparked by an unknown ignition on Wednesday of this week at 1803 hours and is said to be human-caused.

Fire behavior is active with Active, torching, uphill runs, flanking, and moderate to extreme at times. Some spotting over containment lines has been observed.

It has burned 600 acres of brush, grass, and mesquite mix fire fuels.

Management of the fire is in Unified Command with Texas A&M Forest Service and Palo Pinto County.

There is approximately 95 total personnel on the fire line actively working.

Evacuation orders are still in effect.
