INCIDENT SUMMARY
A wildfire named the JONES BUTTE FIRE broke out from an undetermined cause on Thursday afternoon July 27, 2023, is located about two miles northwest of Elgin, Oregon.

RESOURCES
There are approximately 60-80 total personnel assigned to this fire with more either en route or on order.
Resources E7465, 7103, H-703NP, D7008, 7102, C5-1, E7161, E7162, E7364, E7163, E7361, and E7164 were dispatched through the OR Blue Mountain Comm Center at 1346 hours PT this afternoon.

Some of those who have assisted or are assisting with fire suppression and support are called “Incident Cooperators”. Some of these agencies are from the Union County EMS, ODF -NE OR District, Elgin FD, Imbler FD, La Grande Rural FD, and the City of La Grande FD.
CURRENT STATUS
There have been 115 acres burned. Level 2 evacuations are in effect.
EVACUATIONS
Level 3 (GO NOW) Evacuations: South side of Gordon Creek between Valley View Road and Middle Road; East side of Valley South to 71357 Valley View Road; West side of Middle Road from Gordon Creek Road intersection to 71332 Middle Road.
Level 2 (GET SET) Evacuations: Valley View Rd N of 70942 Valley View Rd; Middle Rd N of 70936 Middle Rd; Gordon Ck Rd from Palmer Jct to 73078 Gordon Cr Rd; all of Darr Road.
