COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO — CSFD Firefighters were dispatched at 0117 hours on Friday morning to a commercial residential structure fire a the Qual Cove Apartment on the southern side of the City.

CSFD’s Engine 4 LT reported a glow from the fire before they arrived on the scene and requested a second alarm through Dispatch.

As more units arrived on the scene, they were greeted by heavy fire and smoke showing from the apartment building. A partial roof collapse occurred during the incident.

All residents were able to evacuate the building safely but one was said to have a minor injury which they were treated by Medics at the scene.

About 55 first responders were assigned to the scene.

It was brought under control around 0400 hours.

The cause is unknown and under investigation.
