SIT REP 1: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2024, 1500 PT

WASHINGTON STATE — A 30-plus car pile-up occurred on Southbound I-5 at Kent-Des Moines Road, Kent (King County) this afternoon, causing an MCI (Multiple Casualty Incident).

Multiple Agencies are taking part in this MCI, which include:

  • South King Fire
  • Puget Sound Fire
  • King County Medic One
  • Washington State Patrol
  • WSDOT

All lanes of the freeway in this are closed.

Two known patients were transported to Valley Medical Center/UW in Renton, with unknown injuries.

Per scanner feed, more than 40 cars were busy turning around putting more lives in danger and potentially creating another MCI when they were going on the onramp the wrong way.
