Fire Officials stated they have completed ignitions on this prescribed burn this afternoon, which is located about 1.5 miles south of Sisters, Oregon, near the Forster Service Road 16/4606.

The total acreage scheduled to be burned is around 42 acres, if all of their efforts are successful.

Due to heavy smoke in the Sisters and the surrounding areas, Fire Officials are encouraging residents to keep their doors and windows closed to limit exposure. This is likely to occur overnight into Tuesday, April 7th.

More prescribed burns in nearby areas are either in effect or scheduled to occur shortly.
