The Boeing Fire Department is currently hiring for 3 additional Firefighter/EMT positions. Please add Boeing Fire Department to your list to be considered for these upcoming positions. All test results must be submitted by September 30, 2011 to be considered for this round of hiring.
Salary Information:
Entry Rate $34,705 plus shift differential and COLA

Approximately 83 percent of our services are fire prevention related, with the remainder of our time spent providing emergency services or engaged in training activities. We respond to EMS, Haz Mat Rescue/Mitigation, Structural Fire, Aircraft Fire, Confined Space Rescue, USAR, Water Rescue, Motor Vehicle Accidents and Mutual Aid calls.

Department functions include building inspections, hot work control, fire protection systems configuration control, responding to and controlling all emergencies, including those involving company building, equipment and vehicles.
In 2007 we responded to 2468 incidents in Puget Sound.
We have 5 fire stations in the Puget Sound Region to include Everett, Seattle, Renton, Auburn & Frederickson.
Employee population levels at our sites are based on current workforce numbers and shift.

Job Requirements:
Age: 21 years of age at time of hire.
US Citizen
High School Grad/GED
Valid WASHINGTON State Driver’s License
Vision: Correctable
College: Associate of Arts or higher preferred
Academy Certification: Firefighter I or IFSAC Equivalency from Accredited Agency Prior Experience: 2 years full-time or 3 years volunteer/part-time paid within the last 5 years.
Additional Requirements: Current Washington State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or the ability to obtain reciprocity with current status in continuing education Preferred: Aircraft Rescue Firefighting experience (or)

Flexibility, willingness to work in hazardous environments, strong verbal communication skills and strong written communication skills.
Must pass a background check and be able to apply and receive a DoD Security clearance within 1 year of hire.
Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers: Including but not limited to the following:
Any adult felony conviction within the past 10 years. Any other felonies beyond 10 years will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
Any misdemeanor or felony conviction while employed in a public safety and/or criminal justice capacity
More than two adult misdemeanor conviction(s) within the past five years (including deferrals, and/or dismissals)
Juvenile felony convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Any sexual offense.
Driving Disqualifiers: Including but not limited to the following:
A current revoked, suspended, or canceled drivers license
A revoked, suspended, or canceled drivers license within past five years
Inability to obtain a valid drivers license.
Two or more traffic crimes in last five years (DWI, driving while license suspended, reckless driving, negligent driving, etc.)
Two or more at-fault accidents in past five years.
Drug Use Disqualifiers: Including but not limited to the following:
Failure to pass pre-employment drug testing
Conviction for possession or sale of controlled substance, including marijuana.
Employment Disqualifiers: Including but not limited to the following:
Failure to clear medical screening and qualification
Discharge for-cause from most recent employer
Two or more discharge for-cause terminations (includes leaving employer in lieu of termination)
Dishonorably discharged from the United States armed forces
Failure to accurately and truthfully record information on the employment application, personal history questionnaire, or any other forms during the hiring process
Any dishonest or misleading statements made during any stage of a hiring process.
