Firefighters will continue to improve the existing fireline and build additional direct fireline on ridges and steep slopes on the east, northeast, and southeast areas of the fire. Some resources and equipment are gradually being demobilized; however, resources are remaining flexible due to weather forecast of windy and drier conditions. Electricity has been restored to all evacuated areas including the Holy Ghost area. Century Link continues to repair phone lines in the area.
Three divisions continue to mop up around the fire containment line with rehabilitation on-going. Mop up includes: extinguishing, or removing burning material near containment lines, clearing smoldering branches, and trenching logs to prevent rolling after an area has burned.
